Overview

This job is a part-time, non-benefited, FLSA-exempt position in the General Education Division that reports to the Program Director of Humanities. This position will report to the Alpharetta North-Fulton Campus and Lawrenceville Campus.

Salary

Salary :
Targeted salary is paid in a lump sum based on contact hours taught.

Minimum Qualifications

Doctorate or Master’s degree in music studies, music education, music theory, music performance, and music history

OR Master’s degree with 18 graduate hours in music studies, music education, music theory, music performance, and music history

Preferred Qualifications

In addition to the minimum qualifications, minimum two years Postsecondary teaching experience.

Job Description Summary

Prepares and delivers instruction in classroom and/or online environment. Prepares lesson plans for classroom instruction for general core courses. Evaluates students’ progress in attaining goals and objectives. Consistent communication with students on a regular basis. Administer Learning Management System (Blackboard Ultra) and any 3 rd party software platform as required. Prepares and maintains all required documentation and administrative reports. Displays a high level of effort and commitment to performing work;

operates effectively within the organizational structure; demonstrates trustworthiness and responsible behavior. Accepts direction and feedback from supervisor and follows through appropriately. Assists with recruitment retention and job placement efforts.
