Duties

Seven Oaks Academy is seeking a caring, motivated and nurturing professional to join our team as a Montessori Assistant Teacher. Under general supervision of the Lead Guide, the Montessori Assistant Teacher will work to ensure that the classroom runs smoothly, that all children are taken care of academically, emotionally, socially and physically and that families and their assistants are taken care of.

The Lead Montessori Teacher will ensure that the environment is properly prepared for the children each day. The lead Montessori Teacher shall ensure that each child is challenged to reach their maximum potential.

When you join our team as an Assistant Teacher you will:

  • Assist Lead Guides (Montessori) with the implementation of AMS Montessori curriculum in a way that is consistent with the unique needs of each child; create a safe, nurturing environment where children can play and learn.
  • Partner with parents with a shared desire to provide the best care and education for their children.
  • Support your center's success; partner with center staff and leadership to achieve goals around enrollment, accreditation, and engagement.
  • Cultivate positive relationships with families, teachers, state licensing authorities, community contacts and corporate partners.
Requirements

Other duties include:

  • Maintain Environment and Records
  • Prepare an environment in which the furnishings and materials are complete and correspond to the needs of the group.
  • Be responsible for the care and maintenance of classroom materials, i.e. maintain an orderly environment, keep it clean, and in like-new condition. The children are to be brought into this responsibility.
  • Maintain inventory of the classroom.
