The School of Science and Technology is looking for student assistants to support a grant project over a three-month period. Responsibilities include helping with paperwork for recruiting and screening student interns, managing email campaigns and survey data, organizing a campus hackathon, and creating a repository for student software projects.

Ideal candidates possess knowledge in software development and are good at organizing events, time management, and keeping track of events and surveys.

• Develop and assist with the creation of open-access project and tutorial materials for the student software projects repository
• Assist in recruiting and interviewing student interns
• Supervise and collaborate with student interns on software development
• Assist with email campaigns and running surveys to recruit students into the IT software development concentration
• Organize an annual campus hackathon, including event planning and logistics
• Meet regularly with faculty supervisors

• Must be enrolled in a minimum of 6 credit hours at Georgia Gwinnett College.
• GPA of 2.5 or higher
• Must be in good academic standing and maintain for the duration of employment.
• Must be in good conduct standing with the Office of Student Integrity and maintain good conduct for the duration of employment
• One reference from an IT professor

• GPA of 3.0 or higher
• Currently an ITEC major
• Completed ITEC 3870 Software Development II course or equivalent knowledge and skills
• Ability to work with minimal supervision
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Exhibits professional demeanor with strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Demonstrates the ability to handle confidential student data with discretion and judgment.
• Ability to be highly organized, attentive to details, time management, and multi-tasking skills.
