Overview
The Sales Director SSG leads Sales and Retention, across direct and indirect channels for Sage’s North America SSG Portfolio. In this high-impact role, you’ll lead two strategic missions:
Deliver growth and maximise retention to delivery high contribution margins. This role is hybrid, 3 days in office.
- 8+ years of sales experience (B2B software sales preferred), including 3+ years in a team leadership or management role
- Experience working in a matrixed organization, with the ability to influence cross functional teams and align stakeholders at multiple levels
- Experience leading and scaling hybrid or distributed teams
- Strong understanding of direct and channel sales motions
- Experience in technology cross-sell/up-sell strategies
- Data-driven mindset with strong forecasting and analytical skills leveraging technology like Salesforce and Highspot
- Inspiring leadership and people development skills
- Flexibility to travel up to 20%
- Lead and scale sales teams to exceed revenue targets and retention goals
- Build and implement sales strategies to deliver accurate forecasts and predictable revenue pipelines
- Coach and empower team leaders and reps to succeed in a hybrid (onsite/remote) model
- Represent Sage at key events, with partners and inside the boardroom
- Champion collaboration across Sales, Product, Marketing, and Support
- Tackle escalations with professionalism and empathy
- Foster a culture of accountability, recognition, and results
- Achieve or exceed revenue growth, retention, and margin targets
- Predictable pipeline and forecast accuracy
- Foster a culture of accountability, continuous learning, and high performance
- Strong, trust-based relationships with resellers and strategic alliances
- High-performing engaged teams and happy customers (eNPS & cNPS)
