• Provides direct patient care to patients using the nursing process in accordance with applicable scope and standards of practice.
• Performs plan of care intervention, including medication administration, specimen collection, clinical treatments, and other medical care as appropriate.
• Documents patient care given.
• Monitors, records, and communicates patient condition as appropriate to the care team, physician, patient, and family.
• Assists patients with activities of daily living, including personal hygiene, elimination, nutrition, and ambulation.
• Collaborates across disciplines to coordinate patient care, including patient transfer, discharge, referral, and spiritual/psychosocial support needs.
• Evaluates learning needs of patient and/or family and provides education appropriate to age, culture, condition, and circumstances.
• Advocates for the physical and emotional well-being of the patient.

• Education:
  
  Associate s degree required. BSN preferred.
• Required Skills:
  
  Critical thinking, decisive judgment, and ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
• Certifications:
  
  Basic Life Support (BLS) within 7 days of hire;
  Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) within 3 months of hire;
  Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) within 3 months of hire.
• Licenses:
  Must be a licensed Registered Nurse with the State of Tennessee or a Compact State RN with Tennessee paperwork filed within 30 days of hire.

STRHS-Lawrenceburg is a 99-bed acute care facility located in Lawrenceburg, Tennessee. We have provided healthcare services since 1974 and operate an Outpatient Surgery Unit, a 24-hour physician-staffed Emergency Department, an Intensive Care Unit, a 10-bed Physical Rehabilitation Unit, and a Women s Health Center. Diagnostic imaging includes in-house MRI, Nuclear Medicine, CT, X-ray, Digital Mammography, and Ultrasound. The Rehabilitation Unit offers Physical, Occupational, and Speech Therapies.

We are fully accredited by the Joint Commission and the Society of Chest Pain Centers.
