** Microchip’s Discrete Products Group (DPG) offers one of the industry's most comprehensive power and RF/microwave discrete semiconductor product portfolios. The DPG encompasses two business units, the Power Discrete & Modules BU and the RF/Microwave Discrete BU. Markets the PDM & RF/MW Discrete BU's address include: alternative energy, industrial, medical, defense, commercial aviation, communications, embedded systems, motor control, power solutions, sensors and security.

Microchip DPG has an exciting opportunity for a dynamic and experienced Senior Technician-Equipment.

The right candidate will repair and maintain electro-mechanical equipment used in the production semiconductor equipment, calibrating the equipment and PM, and asset systems or any other duties, as directed.
** Requirements/

Qualifications:

*** Minimum 3-5 years of experience in Metrology, calibration of manufacturing equipment.
* Ability to calibrate and perform repairs on test equipment and production equipment.
* Ability to organize and maintain a calibration system for calibration and preventive maintenance of equipment.
* Ability to work from schematics, mechanical drawings, or written instructions.
* Ability to interface with auditors.
* Experience in the use of multimeters, oscilloscopes, other test equipment for calibration, calibration standards, soldering irons and mechanical tools.
* Familiarity with ISO-1725, MIL-453662A desired.
* Ability to read, write and communicate in English.
* Ability to use MS Office.
* Ability to interface with parts or service vendors
* Trade school or post high school certificate training in electronics desired.
