The Theatre and Dance Department at California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo, is seeking to establish a pool of part-time lecturers in Theatre for the academic year, with positions available based on need and funding during Fall, Winter, and/or Spring quarters, starting September 11, 2025. Responsibilities may include teaching courses such as Introduction to Theatre, Theatre History, Improvised Narratives, American Theatre, World Drama, Rehearsal and Performance, Music Direction, Vocal Coaching, Stage Management, Production Management, Sound Design, and Technical Production Technologies.
Qualifications include a Theatre Arts related Bachelor's degree or professional equivalent for activity or lab sections, and at least a Master's degree in theatre-related studies for lecture classes. Preference will be given to candidates with university-level teaching experience and a Ph.D. in Theatre Arts or Performance Studies for lecture and seminar sections.
