About The Role

Architectural Craftsmen is seeking a skilled Residential Carpenter I to work on high-quality remodeling and historic renovation projects throughout the Kansas City area. This role is ideal for a carpenter who has moved beyond apprentice-level work and is continuing to develop consistency, efficiency, and craftsmanship in residential construction.

Fort Leavenworth, KS | Full-Time

You'll work alongside Lead Carpenters and Project Managers to execute detailed residential work with care, accuracy, and professionalism.

• Perform hands-on carpentry including framing, demolition, trim, cabinetry, and finish work
• Read and execute work from plans, drawings, and verbal direction
• Work independently on assigned tasks while coordinating with the team
• Maintain clean, organized, and professional jobsites
• Use tools and materials safely and correctly
• Support apprentices and model proper jobsite standards

• 3-5+ years of residential carpentry experience (or equivalent skill level)
• Solid understanding of basic construction methods and tools
• Ability to measure, cut, install, and finish work accurately
• Strong attention to detail and pride in workmanship
• Reliable, punctual, and team-oriented
• Comfortable working in occupied homes and client-facing environments
• Experience with historic homes, remodeling, or high-end residential work is a plus

• Team-based environment with experienced craftsmen
• Emphasis on safety, craftsmanship, and professionalism

• $29 - $33 per hour based on experience and demonstrated skill
• 90-day performance review
• Opportunity to grow into Residential Carpenter II or Lead Carpenter roles
