The Counter Packaging Manufacturing Operations Lead reports through the Lawrence Production Center and supports both leadership and operations within a specific department.
This position is on 3rd shift 11:30pm - 8:00am, Sunday night through Friday morning.
The Manufacturing Operations Lead supports their department in two primary ways:
- Leading and Organizing. Responsibilities include technical leadership of the work of the operators; advising the operations supervisor on technical aspects of the work; assisting the supervisor to organize staffing and formulate line ups; leading or supporting start-up meetings; monitoring uptime, auditing performance of standard work of all presses; and completing end of shift reports; facilitating good handoffs between shifts; leading workplace problem solving and troubleshooting activities;
looking for ways to eliminate waste; keeping track of condition and quantity of inventory items; coordinating with other operations leads, operations supervisors, engineers, maintenance techs, and master trainers; leading team members in a manner that builds and maintains good relations, trust, and cooperation and improves productivity of the operators; learning and development to prepare for possible future consideration for roles of greater leadership responsibility. - Training and Coaching. Responsibilities include working with team members and supervisors to create and improve standard work and job instruction breakdowns (JIBs), training team members in standard work using TWI Job Instruction (JI), monitoring team members’ performance of standard work and JI training; on-the-spot re‑training or coaching when needed or directed to close any gaps in press knowledge, technical acumen, or process execution, including assessing and responding to press downtime.

Your performance will be reviewed dating 12 months back from the date the job posting comes down. You must have been satisfactory in all areas and have no disqualifying CR’s for that full 12-month period in order to be considered.
You must have been in your current job for at least 6 or 12 months, depending on the role.
- 35, 36, 37 – at least 6 months
- 38, 39, 40 – at least 12 months

Basic Qualifications- High school diploma or GED.
- At least 2 years of work experience in a Hallmark Manufacturing or Distribution Facility.
- Must be at least Achieves/Satisfactory in all areas of performance.
