Job Description
** JOB SUMMARY
** The Business Manager, Perioperative Services is responsible for oversight of operational activities, resource management, productivity and financial analysis and regulatory compliance with Perioperative Services.  These responsibilities include management of assigned staff if applicable; ensuring the orderly and efficient delivery of services; coordination of information systems; management of equipment and supplies; vendor relations and contract management; developing, monitoring, and analyzing financial, productivity, and quality measures and dashboards;

development and implementation of budgets; assists with billing, revenues, and expenditures; project management; and compliance with applicable legal and accreditation standards within the department.
** RESPONSIBILITIES
* ** Improve and sustain the operational systems, processes and policies by supporting better management reporting, information flow and management, business processes and organizational planning.
* Identifies process gaps, growth opportunities and provide solutions that are in direct alignment with goals and objectives of the department.
* Demonstrates knowledge of financial, operating room and material management specific information systems and serves as a project manager for new system implementations and upgrades.
* Implement measures to align surgeon preference cards with procedural requirements
* Strong analytical and logic skills required.
* Creates and manage dashboards related to goals and business objectives as set forth by Chief of Surgery, CNO, OR Committee and Director of Surgical Services.
* Provides oversight and accountability for activities, costs and responsibilities of third party, contracted, vendor-related, and outsourced service providers.
* Drive initiatives in the management team and organizationally that contribute to long-term operational excellence.
* Maintains appropriate records and conducts related activities to ensure an accurate inventory of property and departmental assets.
* Implements and sustains an accurate charge capture process.
* Working knowledge of strategic pricing for the Perioperative and Anesthesia programs including price sensitive procedures.
* Actively represent the Perioperative and Anesthesia programs in supply chain and capital needs assuring excellent stewardship results.
* Assists Director of Materials Management and staff with the evaluation of new technologies through the Value Analysis Process and reports outcomes, and function as an active member of the committee.
* Supports Perioperative leadership in business concepts for the providers.
* Actively manage and supervise work resources aligned related functions
** QUALIFICATIONS
* **** Required
* *** Bachelor degree in Health Care Management, Business or related field.
* 3-5 years Perioperative/OR experience in a clinical or business capacity including financial analysis and development and implementation of budgets.
