We are looking for a passionate and dedicated HSE Manager to support our data center projects in Baton Rouge, LA. You will provide HSE support and leadership to an EPCM project, working with the HSE Director, HSE Manager, Project Manager, Construction Manager to lead HSE excellence and deliver a project that ensures no worker injuries or negative impacts to our client’s business continuity.

You will lead incident notification, investigation and reporting, facilitate injury management and return‑to‑work, review subcontractor hazard assessments, and participate in operational readiness reviews or other forums relevant to project success.

Responsibilities

You will:

  • Provide HSE support and leadership to the EPCM project at the client facility.
  • Serve as a business partner working with the HSE Director, HSE Manager, Project Manager, and Construction Manager.
  • Lead HSE excellence and deliver a project with no worker injuries or negative impacts to client business continuity.
  • Support Beyond Zero performance and contribute overall leadership, management, and direction to the team and client.
  • Take personal ownership and responsibility for protecting people from harm and driving strategies and performance while supporting continuous improvement.
  • Maintain open communication with the HSE Director and HSE team members to provide technical guidance and ensure consistent implementation of HSE process tools.
  • Provide visible support and leadership to all client and stakeholders, including interpretation, training, technical review, regulatory guidance, and governance oversight.
  • Lead/support incident notification, investigation, reporting, injury management, and return‑to‑work process.
  • Develop review subcontractor hazard assessments and deliverables and participate in operational readiness reviews.
  • Travel to and from the project site, and future assignments may require additional travel within the US or North America.
  • Manage HSE staff in the field and lead subcontractors, creating a supportive and directive environment that ensures subcontractor success.
  • Model a culture of inclusion and caring for the workforce stakeholders, building rapport and trust with the client.
Qualifications
  • HSE certification and/or associate degree in safety, industrial hygiene, engineering or related field.
  • Minimum of 10 years of demonstrated professional experience in a similar role managing Construction Health and Safety.
  • Minimum of 4 years of demonstrated construction experience managing subcontractors in Health and Safety.
  • Experience with managing and conducting safety training.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Teams, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
  • Demonstrated interpersonal relations and personnel‑management skills.
  • Working knowledge of applicable regulatory compliance and federal, state, and local agency requirements.
