The Lead Estimator is responsible for accurate estimation of the materials and labor needed to complete a project according to engineered and designed plans. Works under general supervision; exercises discretion and judgement on work priority on a regular basis

• Must be proficient in MS Excel and Word
• Preferred bachelor degree in related discipline or equivalent
• Minimum 3 to 5 years of experience in related field/responsibilities.
• Working knowledge and experience using CAD software.
• Experience in manufacturing and the wood industry preferred.

• Must be well organized, detail-oriented, extremely accurate and quality-minded.
• Ability to manage several activities/projects at once, to organize and prioritize work, to meet deadlines, and work under little supervision.
• Demonstrated ability to prepare project estimates
• Able to be mobile in the work environment and travel as required.
• Proficiency in the use of the English language in reading, writing and speaking
• Ability to read and understand blue prints
• Ability to apply business math to manufacturing process
• Proficiency with MS Office and other business software.
