Surveyor Crew Member

Sterling Design Support Services (SDS2), a unit of iQuasar LLC for one of their clients is looking for a qualified Surveyor Crew Member position in our Lawrence, Kansas.

Qualifications:

• Experience:
  
  Professional Surveyor preferred or the ability to obtain license.
• 2+ years of experience in AutoCAD, and/or Civil3D experience a plus / not required
• Must have 5-10 years of experience with a variety of survey-related tasks, including legal descriptions; calculation and recording of field data; creating plats, plot plans and real property surveys; and construction staking
• GPS and robotic experience preferred
• Must be detail oriented and able to work unsupervised
• Must be able to work with clients' representatives in the field and have the ability to supervise others
• Must be able to draw representative sketches and take clear and concise notes
• CAD/computer knowledge (AutoCAD Civil 3D) preferred

Responsibilities:

• Perform field work on surveying, civil engineering, and construction projects, including topographic, ALTA, boundary, Right of Way and As-builts, Flood Elevation Certificates, and Lot Surveys
• Maintenance and care of vehicles, equipment, and instruments used during the execution of survey services
• Follow company CAD procedures and standards
• Maintain schedules
• Utilize CAD commands
