Center Supportive Communities

Overview

Center for Supportive Communities role bers work directly with students, implementing effective support strategies while collaborating with families and schools to promote student success. Members gain practical experience, skill development, and networking opportunities.

• Maintain a caseload of 2-5 students; assist with intake and assessments
• Facilitate weekly student meetings focused on skill-building
• Implement structured, research-supported strategies; provide academic support and assist with problem-solving and goal setting
• Facilitate communication between families, schools, and community partners
• Coordinate with school staff and local service providers
• Attend supervisory meetings as needed
• Complete weekly documentation and progress reports
• Ameri Corps service project tasks, including planning and implementing outreach activities; presenting to university students; distributing informational materials; assisting with recruitment; coordinating initiatives that strengthen program outreach; supporting community-based events; and collecting and analyzing data to inform program development

Training;
Education award upon successful completion of service.

Permits attendance at school during off hours; car recommended; permits working at another job during off hours.
