Transdev in Lawrence, Kansas is hiring a Dispatcher. The Dispatcher oversees road service through communication with Operators and provides customer support to the clients. We are seeking customer service‑oriented professionals who are dedicated to safety.
Pay$21.70 – $28.43 per hour. Starting pay $21.70 with progression to $28.43 over 7 years.

Key Responsibilities- Oversee road service assigned carriers by tracking trip performance measures, route beginnings on time, performance, incidents, etc.
- Provide customer support by responding to questions and concerns regarding customer trips including no shows, cancellations and missed trips.
- Manage emergency situations for vehicle operators, act as liaison between the carrier and emergency services.
- Manage daily service by reviewing route performance and proactively responding to situations that impact customer service.
- Other duties as required.
- High School Diploma or GED;
Technical Degree preferred. - 1 year of customer service, dispatch experience preferred.
- Must have or be willing to get Class B CDL with Passenger Endorsement.
- Excellent phone demeanor and customer service skills.
- Ability to work independently.
- Excellent verbal, interpersonal, judgment and problem‑solving abilities.
- Experience with word processing, spreadsheets, Internet software, e‑mail, and/or database software preferred.
- Basic computer skills are required.
- Must be able to read a map and possess knowledge of the service area.
- Must be hospitable, guest/customer service oriented, and be willing to serve the needs of passengers.
- Problem solving and analytical skills.
- Must be able to work shifts or flexible work schedules as needed.
- Subject to a DOT drug testing and physical if applicable. DOT Regulation 49 CFR Part 40 does not authorize the use of Schedule I drugs, including cannabis, for any reason.
- Sit for extended periods (up to 6–8 hours per day); frequently walk for long distances and on possible sloped ground or slippery and uneven surfaces.
- Push and pull objects up to 50 pounds, occasionally throughout the workday; lift material weighing up to 50 lbs. with or without assistance; occasionally bend, kneel, or crouch to files or equipment stored at ground level.
- Withstand heavy traffic areas while performing the duties of the job; tolerate exposure to considerable amounts of dust, vehicle fumes and noise.
- Be eligible to work in the United States without requiring sponsorship now or in the future (if based in the U.S.).
- Successfully pass a pre‑employment drug screen.
