A well-established company in Johnson County, Kansas is adding a Senior Accountant to support continued growth and financial modernization. This is a newly created role and a strong opportunity for an experienced accountant who enjoys building processes, improving systems, and partnering closely with leadership.
This position will work directly with the Controller and play a key role in strengthening financial operations as the company scales.
What You’ll Do- Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements and management reports
- Record journal entries and perform account reconciliations
- Support month-end close, budgeting, and audit readiness
- Help improve internal controls and ensure compliance with accounting standards
- Identify opportunities to streamline processes and improve reporting accuracy
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
- 3–5+ years of progressive accounting experience
- Experience in construction environments strongly preferred
- Detail-oriented with a continuous improvement mindset
- Someone who takes ownership of their work and enjoys problem-solving
