WHAT WOULD YOUR MISSION BE?

Please note that this position is responsible for representing the Ontario market; however, the company’s head office is located in Laval, Quebec. The candidate will therefore work primarily from our Laval offices. The Representative will be required to travel to Ontario approximately once per quarter, depending on business needs. All travel and accommodation expenses are covered by the company.

In a few words:

Reporting to the Sales Director, the Business Development Representative responsible for identifying all sales and market opportunities within the Ontario territory, while maintaining strong relationships with clients and bidders. With a strong focus on prospecting new clients, identifying new opportunities, and following up on bids, the role involves managing both sales projects and business development initiatives to support company growth. In addition to acting as a liaison between various stakeholders to meet client needs and achieve objectives, the Representative actively contributes to the development of marketing strategies and brings forward ideas and suggestions to develop new markets and create sales opportunities specific to Ontario.

Key responsibilities include:

Prospect new clients (B2B) to generate business opportunities and increase the company's sales in the Ontario market;

Organize, plan, coordinate and follow up on assigned sales (equipment rentals and/or sales, depending on product);

Occasional visit and maintain close relationships with customers and partners (contractors, signage companies, designers, supervisors, government departments, municipalities);

Preparation of bids according to customer requests and needs;

Active participation in business development and marketing strategies in line with established sales targets;

Ensure the company's presence at community forums, groups, associations and events. Active approach to target clientele;

Analyze the market and industry trends to develop and cultivate new business relationships at provincial and national levels;

Monitor and stay abreast of current and upcoming calls for tenders;

Liaise between customers and operations (collect documentation, coordinate preparation of necessary materials, etc.);

Research information and analyze project needs in conjunction with suppliers;

Provide suggestions and ideas to develop new markets and sales opportunities;

Participate in the development and present “lunch & learn” to customers;

Communicate on a regular basis and work closely with the Ontario Operations Manager to meet customer needs and schedules;

Participate in the updating of the internal price list in relation to costs and participate in negotiations with suppliers.
