What You'll Do
  • Lead the Laval site and oversee R&D, production, and service operations.
  • Set strategic and operational goals aligned with Teledyne FLIR’s defense division.
  • Drive product development and ensure smooth day-to-day operations.
  • Build a strong team culture, mentor managers, and plan for succession.
  • Manage budgets and deliver on revenue and profitability targets.
  • Foster collaboration across Teledyne divisions and optimize resources.
  • Maintain strong customer relationships and identify growth opportunities.
  • Ensure compliance with export regulations and quality standards.
  • Promote innovation and continuous improvement in processes and products.
  • Represent the site in quarterly business reviews and leadership meetings.
What You Need
  • Proven leadership in complex, high-tech manufacturing environments (required).
  • Strong business acumen with experience managing budgets and strategic plans (required).
  • Ability to lead engineering teams and drive cultural engagement (required).
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills in an international setting (required).
  • Experience in defense or regulated industries (advantage).
  • MBA or advanced degree in engineering or related field (advantage).
  • Bilingual in English and French (advantage).
  • Eligibility for Canadian Controlled Goods and U.S. export compliance (required).
