Technical Translator (French)
Job Description
SES & technologies ltd. (SES) seeks the services of a technical translator and writer (English ↔ French) for full-time employment. The candidate that is capable to fluently translate from either language will have an added advantage during the hiring review process. The candidate must be able to understand the scientific and technical ideas related to the products and services provided by SES while working with a team of researchers, engineers, and programmers.

User guides, tutorials, and instruction manualsOnline help filesTechnical brochuresOnline documentation and pamphletsWebsite marketing material and newslettersFrequently asked questions (FAQs) and reference manualsAdditionally, the Technical Translator and Writer must contribute to the layout and design of the above documents.
Requirements
Electrical knowledge and background or equivalentExcellent French writing skillsVery good knowledge of English due to documentation and communications with customers who are about 95% outside QuebecExcellent communication skillsGood knowledge of MS Office suiteAssets
Experience with screen capture and video editing tools (e.g., Snagit, Camtasia)Familiarity with version control systems (Git)Experience with AI-powered content or translation toolsKnowledge of additional languages beyond French and EnglishExperience working in cross-functional or R&D-driven teamsBenefits
