We are seeking an experienced and versatile GxP IT Systems Engineer to support manufacturing operations at our Laval site. This hands-on role will collaborate directly with automation engineers, QC analysts, manufacturing operators, warehouse personnel, and other cross-functional teams to maintain critical operations that serve our patients. You will split your efforts between GxP IT systems support (approximately 75%) and end-user/site support (approximately 25%).

This opportunity is ideal for a technically adept professional who thrives at the intersection of Information Technology and Operational Technology, ensuring compliance, stability, and performance of regulated systems in a dynamic manufacturing environment. You will help safeguard validated states, address incidents swiftly, and contribute to secure, efficient operations that are foundational to Moderna’s mission. Occasional after-hours or weekend support may be required to align with manufacturing demands.

What You’ll Do:

Your key responsibilities will be:

  • Provide GMP systems support including inspections, deviations, CAPAs, and periodic reviews; ensure SOPs, training compliance, data integrity, and regulatory adherence.

  • Serve as Tier 1 front-line support for manufacturing systems, closely partnering with engineering and operations to maintain uptime.

  • Monitor, triage, and resolve tickets across shop floor systems (workstations, label printers, HMIs, Thin Manager, scanners, peripherals), ensuring SLA adherence and transparent communication.

  • Troubleshoot infrastructure (Windows servers, VMware/Hyper-V, AD, DNS/DHCP, file/print, time sync) and escalate as needed.

  • · Execute approved GxP changes, patches, and maintenance under formal change control with validated documentation.

  • Perform system monitoring and health checks using Dynatrace, Splunk, Pager Duty; proactively address performance, stability, or capacity risks.

  • Deploy cybersecurity tooling (Crowd Strike), remediate alerts, support vulnerability patches, and manage certificates in alignment with security policies.

  • Maintain asset inventories, system baselines, topology documentation, and ensure CMDB accuracy.

Your responsibilities will also include:

  • Implement, maintain, and administer end-user computing devices (laptops, mobile phones, etc.) including OS, MS Office Suite, third-party applications, and hardware issues.

  • Troubleshoot, repair, and configure Apple iOS devices, laptops, imaging, data wiping, and asset control while maintaining detailed ticket documentation.

  • Deliver best-in-class customer experience when working with end users.

  • Partner with Automation, Plant/Lab Engineering, QC/QA, and Digital Core teams to restore service rapidly, schedule maintenance windows, and communicate outages and root cause summaries.

  • Participate in change/advisory boards with a focus on operational readiness, risk management, and validated state impacts.
