Senior Software Engineer

• Design, develop, and implement large-scale software projects.
• Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code primarily in Python.
• Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.
• Provide guidance and support to junior developers, aiding in their professional development.
• Ensure the performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications.
• Identify and correct bottlenecks and fix bugs.
• Continuously discover, evaluate, and implement new technologies to maximize development efficiency.

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 5+ years of professional software development experience.
• Extensive experience with Python and familiarity with its ecosystems.
• Demonstrated experience in building large, complex software systems.
• Strong familiarity with industry-standard design patterns and best practices.
• Fluent in English, with strong communication skills.
• Solid understanding of the full software development life cycle.
• Experience in multiple programming languages and paradigms is a plus.
• Knowledge of HPC systems is a plus.
• Experience with simulation and modeling software systems is a plus.

• Enjoy building large-scale software systems end to end and take pride in clean, maintainable Python code.
• Enjoy mentoring junior engineers and contributing to a collaborative, team-first culture.
• Can work full-time on-site in Lausanne.

• You’re uncomfortable working in a fast-moving startup where priorities can evolve quickly.
• You’re early in your career and don’t yet have experience with large, complex software systems.
• You prefer minimal collaboration and don’t enjoy cross-functional teamwork with hardware, research or scientific teams.
