Senior Software Engineer

BeEmotion.ai develops Artificial Intelligence software for human behavior. In the context of our activities on real time edge based AI solutions we are looking for a talented and motivated (senior) Software Engineer to join our team and assume the responsibility for our AI Solutions, with a focus on optimizing function, performance and efficiency. While the position is still “hands‑on”, we are looking for an experienced engineer ready to take over the lead of a team or customer projects.

• Own the architecture of our modular AI Solution, designed for efficient execution of machine learning functions on various embedded devices.
• Develop new functions and features to improve function, efficiency and/or modularity and reusability.
• Maintain deployment tool chains for edge devices, managing dependencies, configuration, and automation.
• Participate in designing new solutions and product proposals.
• Coordinate a small and agile team of like‑minded engineers.

• Bachelor's degree (master’s degree or higher preferred) in computer science or a related field.
• 5 years industry experience.
• Strong understanding of artificial intelligence and machine learning concepts.
• Experience with developing and implementing AI solutions in computer‑vision, audio processing or natural language processing, particularly for resource‑constrained environments.
• Experience with embedded systems programming (proficiency in C++ for embedded devices; Rust or Python is a strong plus).
• Familiarity with various computer hardware architectures (x86 and ARM‑based CPUs, GPUs, TPU, NPU, and neuromorphic computing) and resource constraints of embedded systems.
• Experience with some of the following technologies appreciated:
  Qt, GStreamer, Green Grass, Onnx Runtime, Tensor
  
  RT, OpenCV.
• Working knowledge of Docker, Git, Jira.
• Excellent problem‑solving and analytical skills.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Fluent English. French or German a plus.
