Basedattheheadquartersin Lausanne,thisroledesigns,buildsandmaintainsin-houseapplicationsanddatabases,ensuring reliability,performanceanddataintegrity.
Youtranslateoperationalrealitiesintorobustsystems,supportmultiplestakeholders,andstrengthenhowinformationflowsfromplanningtocompetitiondelivery,reporting,andcontinuousimprovement.
- Developandmaintainin-housesport-specificdigitalplatformsandapplications,withafocusonperformance,scalabilityandusability.
- Design,optimiseanddocumenttheunderlyingdatabasearchitectureforcoresystems,including
Sportsmaindatabase. - Workwithtechnicalandnon-technicalstakeholderstoclarifybusinessprocesses,dataneedsandfunctionalrequirements,thenconvertthemintodeliverablesolutions.
- Ensure accuracy,accessibilityandcomplianceofsport-relateddataacrossinternalapplications,includingdataprotectionprinciplesandretentionrules.
- Actastechnicalfocalpointforselecteddisciplinetoolsincoordinationwithsportteams,supportingevolutionandoperationalcontinuity.
- Producetechnicaldocumentationanduserguidestosupportadoption,transferofknowledgeandconsistentuseacrossteams.
- Contributetoautomationandoptimisationofinternalworkflowsthroughscriptingandtargeteddigitalsolutions,whilesupportingtroubleshootingandsystemevolution.
- University degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or similar, or equivalent experience.
- 7+ years in full-stack development within a data-driven environment, experience in a sportrelated organisation preferred.
- Strong Java, experience with MVC frameworks and readiness to work with Play Framework in production.
- Strong SQL with Postgre
SQL, plus working exposure to MySQL. - Solid database design skills: schemas, query optimisation, data quality across interconnected applications.
- Good knowledge of GDPR and data protection practices applied in design and operations.
- Used to collaborative delivery: version control, testing, releases, technical documentation.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management across technical and non-technical audiences.
- Fluency in English and French, additional languages are a plus.
- Valid Swiss work permit.
