Senior Electronic Board Layout Designer

We are seeking a Senior Electronic Board Layout Designer to reinforce our Lausanne Product Development team. As a key team member, you will join a multidisciplinary R&D team developing groundbreaking satellite communications system technologies. You will design highly reliable and complex PCB embedding elements, high-speed ethernet and FPGA, analog and mixed-signal electronics, as well as aspects related to airborne environments.

• Understand and challenge requirements and constraints provided by RF, HW and Mechanical designers.
• Design PCBs in compliance with industry best practices for airborne applications, as well as Viasat processes and checklists.
• Deliver the fully set of manufacturing files for both PCB and PCBA; get it released in Viasat’s document control system, Oracle-Agile, in compliance with in force processes.

• You are a meticulous, open-minded and well-organized person, motivated to perform multiple tasks in a wide-ranging environment, A problem solver and A hands-on engineer.
• 10+ years of proven experiences in designing complex, 12+ layers, PCB, in highly regulated/demanding environments like airborne, space, automotive or medical.
• Strong knowledge with Altium
  365; experienced with Hierarchical Design, PCB Layout Replication, Working with Rooms and Copying Room Formats features
• High-speed ethernet, FPGA, low noise fast transient power supply, mixed-signal layout expertise.
• Library management.
• Quality by Design;
  Design for Manufacturing/Assembling/Testing/Maintenance
• Clear and concise English communication skills, both oral and written.
