My client is looking for a Senior Photonics Packaging Engineer, based in Lausanne, Switzerland, developing advanced laser and frequency-comb technologies for applications in optical communications, sensing, LiDAR, and spectroscopy.
The Role:
- Develop photonic packaging for hybrid-integrated optoelectronic devices
- Perform mechanical and thermal design of assemblies
- Assemble and actively align devices using industrial equipment
- Conduct root cause analysis on packaged devices
- Support production planning and scale-up toward volume manufacturing
Requirements
- MSc or PhD in Photonics, Optical Engineering, or related field
- Experience with semiconductor laser or silicon photonics packaging
- CAD experience; exposure to LabVIEW, Python, or Matlab
- Industrial experience preferred
