Signal Integrity Engineer - High-Speed Interconnect

We are partnered with a specialist semiconductor company delivering advanced interconnect technology for high-speed applications. They are seeking a Signal Integrity (SI) Engineer to advise internal technology developers and external customers on critical SI challenges across silicon, packaging, and board levels.

This is a permanent position based in Lausanne, Switzerland.

• Provide theoretical and simulation-based SI analysis of products, test structures, and hardware systems.
• Collaborate with chip and circuit design teams to support SI, Power Integrity (PI), and power solutions for packages and evaluation boards.
• Evaluate SI performance of advanced encoding systems in comparison with alternatives (e.g., PAM4, PAM8).
• Support internal teams in the analysis and definition of high-speed signaling standards (e.g., IEEE, OIF).
• Conduct SI/PI/power validation testing and perform simulation-to-measurement correlation.
• Engage with customers and suppliers to support hardware development and technical analysis.
• Create design specifications, simulation reports, and validation test plans.

• 5+ years of experience in the semiconductor industry.
• Strong foundation in microwave, analog, power, and digital electronics theory.
• Proven expertise in Signal Integrity (SI) and Power Integrity (PI) simulation and design principles.
• Experience with industry-standard SI/PI simulation tools.
• Proficiency with scripting or programming languages (e.g., MATLAB).
• Familiarity with Linux-based IC-design environments and tools such as Cadence Virtuoso.
