Overview

UNIL is seeking a PhD candidate in Political Theory to engage in a dynamic, international research environment. The position will be based at the Chamberonne campus and will be led by Prof. Sandrine Baume in the Center for Public Law.

Responsibilities
  • Allocate 50% of the working time to the completion of a PhD dissertation.
  • Allocate 50% of the working time to supervising students and contributing to research projects in political science.
Qualifications
  • Master’s degree in Political Science, Law, or the Humanities.
  • Strong English language skills (reading, writing, and speaking).
  • French language skills are a plus.
  • Evidence of an engaging PhD research project focusing on the relationship between democracy and the lifecycle (e.g., age or youth). The dissertation should fit within political theory or the history of political ideas.
