Field Technician II (Overnight Travel Required)

Our client is seeking a qualified Field Technician to join their team in Laurinburg, NC and provide end-user support. This position requires overnight travel from Sunday to Thursday, onsite at client location during normal business hours, with potential overtime. A valid state driver's license (Real‑), clean MVR, and a reliable vehicle are required.
Duties and Responsibilities- Project focus on upgrading advanced commercial printers at retail locations
- Replace printer parts, paper feed, power supply, print head, toner drum, transfer belt, image unit
- Perform complex upgrades and troubleshoot printers, servers, hard drives, and monitor systems
- Provide on‑site technical support to internal or external customers in resolving complex or escalated technology issues on operational or maintenance aspects of system equipment
- Install and remove equipment and systems as required
- Responsible for day‑to‑day operation of applications and equipment and serve as a customer contact on technical and service‑related problems
- Ensure that all schedules, transmissions, on‑line systems, and problems are resolved accurately and timely
- Serve as a liaison between customers, departments, and within the organization to lead problem resolution and change management processes
- Determine the most cost‑effective repair or resolution to minimize customer downtime
- Minimum 2–3+ years of field service experience, specifically in commercial printers
- Ability to travel extensively via plane and/or car
- Experience with commercial/large printers;
Lexmark printer certification a plus - Electronics and mechanical aptitude for working on commercial printers
- Working knowledge of Windows operating systems, networks, databases, and network security concepts and tools
- Working knowledge of the Microsoft Office application suite, including MS Outlook
- Experience with multi‑platform Windows OS
- Knowledge of Rufus, Windows Server imaging, photo printing, system connectivity, and Windows configuration
- Ability to work independently in a retail environment
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

- Strong written and verbal communication with stakeholders, leadership, partners, team members, organizations, and customers
- Ability to coordinate and prioritize multiple tasks while maintaining attention to detail and quality
- Demonstrated capability to achieve results in a fast‑paced, client‑driven environment
The rate for this position is between $18.76 – $27.50 per hour
. Factors which may affect starting pay within this range may include geography/market, skills, education, experience, and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
