Job Summary:

As a Heavy Equipment Operator, you will be the backbone of our Rural Collections team, ensuring county facilities, roads, and rights-of-way remain in top condition for our community. Your work directly impacts the quality of life for residents by maintaining the essential environments we all use daily.
Pay: $19.89/Hour
- Equipment Operation:
Expertly operate and maintain a diverse range of heavy equipment to support county infrastructure projects. - Infrastructure Maintenance:
Execute maintenance tasks for county facilities, roads, and rights-of-way under varying conditions. - Technical Support:
Utilize small engines and hand tools to perform necessary repairs and maintenance tasks. - Operational Planning:
Adapt to changing work environments by planning and performing maintenance duties effectively. - Community Service:
Provide professional oral and written communication while delivering high-quality service to the public

Requirements- Experience:
2 to 5 years of similar experience, or completion of a relevant apprenticeship/internship, demonstrating a deep understanding of heavy equipment duties - Education:
A High School Diploma or GED equivalent - Skill Highlight:
Proficiency in basic mathematics, the ability to read and write technical instructions, and the physical capacity to lift up to 70 lbs. Familiarity with landscaping, general maintenance, or construction is highly preferred. - Licenses/Certifications:
Must possess, or have the ability to readily obtain, a valid South Carolina Class A CDL with air brakes
