About The Role

The Electrician Operator operates machines and tools used in manufacturing processes and resolves electrical and mechanical problems to achieve production targets.

    Thursday through Wednesday, 6:30 PM – 6:30 AM (may fluctuate)

  • No relocation offered
  • Works onsite five days a week

What You Will Do

  • Perform routine component installations and maintenance
  • Cooperate with other operators to ensure workflow stability
  • Read and interpret mechanical and electrical blueprints and diagrams to select, position, and secure machinery
  • Start, stop, and load/unload engines per operating procedures and grid dispatch requirements
  • Monitor plant control systems (SCADA/DCS), gauges, and instrumentation
  • Troubleshoot alarms, equipment malfunctions, and abnormal operating conditions
  • Address equipment failures, calibrate errors, and report to management promptly
  • Operate and monitor natural gas reciprocating engines, generators, auxiliaries, and balance‑of‑plant systems
  • Set up and run machines to implement manufacturing processes, sometimes leading as technician
  • Document electrical operations, maintenance activities, and system readings in required logs and record books

Required Knowledge

  • Understanding of reciprocating internal combustion engines, generators, and auxiliary systems
  • Knowledge of natural gas fuel systems, combustion principles, and emissions controls
  • Ability to read P&IDs, one‑line diagrams, operating procedures, and technical manuals
  • Familiarity with electrical systems, including switch gear, transformers, and protective relays (operator‑level)
  • Strong troubleshooting and mechanical aptitude
  • Follow written procedures and make sound operational decisions under pressure
  • Basic computer skills for control systems, logging, and reporting

What Top Candidates Will Have

  • 5+ years in power generation, industrial plant operations, or engine‑driven facilities (preferred)
  • Experience with natural gas reciprocating engines
  • Certifications and licenses preferred
  • OSHA safety training (LOTO, confined space, HAZCOM)
  • Electrical switching or high‑voltage safety training

Summary Pay Range

$81,370.00 – $ (salary may vary based on factors such as experience, location, and individual performance)
