The Regional Marketing Manager will be responsible for managing the company’s representative sales force that calls on the electrical utility industries in the assigned region. Responsibilities include selecting and supporting manufacturer’s representative organizations, tracking performance, and serving as a liaison between representatives and Howard Industries’ departments. Inside support and joint activities with manufacturer’s representatives for marketing and sales initiatives are also expected.
Responsibilities- Represent the company at industry meetings and expositions
- Host customers and manufacturer’s representatives who visit the factory
- Provide supervisory responsibility for the inside sales organization within the region
- Report directly to the Vice President of Marketing
- Act as liaison between customers, manufacturer’s representatives, and internal departments
- Travel at least 50% of the time to visit customers, trade shows, and educational programs in the assigned region
- Maintain and grow the account base through a balance of maintenance and prospecting via in-person visits, calls, emails, etc.
- Renew relationships with past customers to drive future business
- Establish and expand relationships with key executives and decision makers
- Close sales and overcome customer objections
- Engage in consultative selling to understand business issues and provide relevant solutions
- Process quotes and special price requests using company systems and pricing policy
- Provide competitive reviews to update features that enhance retention and satisfaction
- Follow up on customer requests to uphold a high standard of service
- Incorporate company marketing efforts in the selling process to deliver a coherent corporate message
- Outside sales or marketing experience
- Ability to develop relationships with customers
- Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, email, and general computer skills
- Presentable, courteous, and professional demeanor
