About the HICU

• 20 semi-private rooms, caring for up to 40 high-acuity patients

• Multidisciplinary team including nursing, respiratory therapy, rehab, pharmacy, nutrition, and social work

• Focused on recovery, early intervention, and family-centered care

• State-of-the-art monitoring and life-support technology

Responsibilities

• Deliver safe, evidence-based nursing care to patients with complex needs

• Operate and monitor advanced medical and life-support equipment

• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans

• Provide education and emotional support to patients and families

• Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes

Qualifications

• Education: ADN required; BSN preferred

• Experience: Critical care or high-acuity experience preferred (new grads welcome to apply)

• Licensure: Current Maryland RN license and BLS certification required; ACLS required within one year of hire

• Skills: Strong critical thinking, clinical judgment, and communication skills
