W e are seeking a Billing Associate to help us perform billing operations activities in accordance with contractual requirements and government regulations. If you are a candidate with a strong focus on partnering and continuous process improvement, who is meticulous and demonstrates excellent organizational, prioritization and interpersonal skills, then this is the role for you.
Job Responsibilities:
- Primary responsibility will be to use an Oracle contracts and billing system to facilitate contract set up, carry out billing activities, and support invoice collection efforts for government and commercial contracts and grants, enabling effective cash management of business operations. Attention to detail, organization, and prioritization skills will come into play while you monitor and maintain contractual and regulatory controls to ensure data quality from funding entry through contract closeout via data analysis and reports.
- Investigate, analyze, advance, and resolve billing and collection issues. Solution-centric approach will also be instrumental in offering ideas to improve overall billing operation practices.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, you will serve as a liaison between sponsors, contracts, and program business teams that cultivates productive relationships and information sharing that is important to the successful execution of the company's missions.
- Perform other duties as assigned, including supporting Defense Contract Audit Agency (DCAA) audit requests.
- Possess a Bachelor's degree.
- Have 3 or more years of billing experience.
- Have government contract and/or grant experience.
- Excellent at maintaining accuracy while multitasking, extracting data needs, prioritizing assignments, communicating progress, and meeting deadlines.
- Exhibit a self-starter mentality, shows extraordinary initiative, and analyze and resolves challenges independently and in a team-based setting.
- Exhibit excellent interpersonal and communication (written and oral) skills, and the ability to work with all levels of staff and sponsors.
- Have a strong desire to learn and can easily adapt to changing environments.
- Are able to collaboratively perform in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
- Show proficiency in working with Adobe and Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook tools - sophisticated Excel knowledge expected.
- Have a Master's of Business Administration (MBA).
- Have experience with Oracle Project Billing and/or other business applications.
