• High School Diploma or GED required; college level coursework preferred.
• Must have a current State of Delaware Registered Nurse license.
• Performs general nursing work, including giving medications, inputting information in the computer, and writing accident reports.
• Applicant must demonstrate a level of knowledge and/or experience appropriate to the position.
• Ability to interact effectively with diverse groups of students, staff, parents, and community members in a professional manner.
• Ability to follow oral and written instructions with limited supervision.
• Ability to adjust and adapt to a multitude of situations in a school environment.
• Ability to effectively communicate in English (read, write, speak). Bi‑lingual substitute candidates desired.

• Ability to perform the following actions with full range of motion and manual dexterity: bending, moderate lifting, twisting, carrying and moving objects, and reaching.
• Punctuality and dependability are essential functions of the job.
• Favorable criminal background check (CBC) for the candidate(s) offered employment required. CBC fee to be paid by the applicant.
• Child Protection Registry check for the candidate(s) offered employment required. The $14 Child Protection Registry fee is paid by the applicant.
• Tuberculin test required. There is a fee that is paid by the applicant.
• Participation in direct deposit required.

As per State compensation guidelines: $23.87 per hour up to 29 hours per week; exclusive of long term assignments.

Specific work times will be determined based on school assignment.
