Shift: Rotating 12-hour shifts (Days: 7:00am-7:00pm / Nights: 7:00pm-7:00am), including every other weekend and holiday Unit:
Thoracic Surgery Telemetry Patient Ratio: 5-6 patients per RN Orientation: 12 hours Float Requirement:
Float to other Med/Surg or Telemetry units as needed Registered Nurse Qualifications Active Pennsylvania RN license or Compact RN License (required) At least 1 year of recent Med/Surg Telemetry RN experience BLS certification (required) ACLS and NIHSS certifications (preferred) Clinical experience with cardiac telemetry, central line care, chest tubes, dysrhythmia management, rapid response/code teams, and wound care preferred Ability to float to similar hospital units as needed COVID-19 vaccination status required Two supervisor references (preferred) Med/Surg Telemetry RN Responsibilities Deliver high-quality nursing care to adult and geriatric patients on a thoracic surgery telemetry unit Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms;

manage cardiac drips (no titration) Perform central line and chest tube care, manage feeding tubes, and administer oxygen therapy Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams, including IV, respiratory, physical therapy, pharmacy, and rapid response teams Participate in pre/post hemodialysis management and care for patients with CHF, A-fib, stroke, COPD, and renal failure Float to other Med/Surg or Telemetry units as needed Maintain accurate nursing documentation and adhere to hospital protocols and clinical standards Apply now to join our healthcare team in Latrobe, PA and discover a rewarding travel nursing job in Pennsylvania!
