Lathrop Veterinary Center has the opportunity to add a Veterinarian to our team! Offering up to a $50K Sign-On Bonus.

Lathrop Veterinary Center is the first vet hospital in the city of Lathrop, CA. Our state-of-the-art facility was built in 2008, houses modern equipment, and has amazing staff and Doctors. Lathrop is currently a growing community with a large new pet-friendly apartment building next door. Opportunity for business growth is huge as well as living in an appealing area offering a more reasonable cost of living.

Compensation & Benefits

Very competitive Pro-Sal compensation model, 22% production, bonus structure; complete benefits.

  • Full-time comp ranges from $,000, based on experience.
  • Part-time comp negotiable, range begins at $70,000 depending on experience and # of days worked per month.
  • Professional dues/licensing expenses and CE allowance.
  • Medical, Dental, Vision and 401k with an employer match.
  • 4 weeks vacation time as mentioned above with ability to receive an additional 4 weeks paid sabbatical for all full-time doctors.
The Ideal Candidate
  • New Grad Doctor OR an Experienced Doctor seeking a practice with a strong and supportive team approach.
  • Open to Full-Time or Part-Time scheduling.
About Our Hospital
  • Small animal GP/Urgent Care hybrid, fast-paced
  • Currently a 2 Doctor practice, aiming for 4 due to increased volume
  • Roughly 70% dogs, 30% cats; some exotics/pocket pets (not required)
  • Scheduling focused on a healthy work life balance: NO weekends, NO on-call hours; 4 weeks vacation (full-time) plus holidays & CE days; 4 weeks PAID sabbatical every 5 years
  • No late nights – doctors usually arrive around 8am and leave by 6pm
  • Closed from 12-1:30pm for lunch & catch-up
  • 15 – 30 minute appointment times
  • Diverse surgeries – soft tissue; ortho referred out
  • Facilities: 5 exam rooms, 1 surgical suite, dentistry table, treatment tables, digital dental and radiology, ultrasound, oxygen cages, full boarding facility
  • Annual Cap Ex dollars allocated for hardware and equipment
  • Full spectrum of clientele; unified support staff; scrubs provided
  • Strong mentorship; new grads/experienced Doctors welcome
  • Altruistic — we work with kitten rescues, Guide Dogs, Sheriff K9s, Pets & Pals
Qualifications
  • Candidate must be a graduate from an AVMA accredited college or have passed the ECFVG certification or the PAVE certification
  • Licensure in good standing
