What You’ll Do
  • Operate and load the stack melting furnace, record the weight of the charge and additives in the Ignition‑Vulcan System.
  • Clean and maintain melting furnaces to produce high‑quality metal, work with high‑temperature aluminum and furnaces, and transfer liquid aluminum from Stack Melter to holding furnaces through transfer ladles, while communicating improvements to engineering through Take Charges that are necessary to work on the implementation.

  • Lead the recycling and remelting process to reduce the cost of raw materials through the preparation and location of containers for the process, and to comply with the monitoring of the use of recycling material—follow a loading pattern established by engineering (the ratio of ingot, crushed material, runner, biscuit, overflow, scrap parts) and ensure that the degassing process in each furnace is working (verifying the injection of nitrogen/argon) through porous plugs, lances, and diffusers.
  • Maintain the inventory of foundry additives and tools at a good level and comply with the monitoring of the use of recycling material—follow a loading pattern established by engineering (the ratio of ingot, crushed material, runner, biscuit, overflow, scrap parts).
