Building & Grounds Specialist

We have an excellent opportunity for a full-time
Building & Grounds Specialist in our
Lathrop, CA office. The Building & Grounds Specialist will be responsible for planning and executing multiple time sensitive exterior facility maintenance and repair projects, as an individual contributor and using outside subcontractors.

• Oversee maintenance projects, such as annual asphalt parking lot seal coating and striping programs, asphalt repairs, pot holes, truncated dome repair, ADA issues, crack chasing, and concrete repairs
• Execute multiple time sensitive construction projects using outside vendors
• Read and follow blueprints and specifications
• Familiar with contract estimating, job costing, and scheduling
• Ability to develop and maintain strong vendor and interdepartmental relationships
• Full-time position, Exempt
• Alternating Office Hours in Lathrop, CA, which could include Monday-Friday, 8:00 am-5:00 pm or nighttime hours
• 50% travel throughout California, Oregon, Washington, and Nevada.
• Night and weekend availability required as necessary

  The above represent the expected pay range for this job requisition. Ultimately, in determining your pay, we'll consider your experience and other job-related factors

• Must have at least three (3) years experience in maintaining asphalt and concrete parking lots
• Experience with supporting independent contractors (vendors) & Project Supervisors to achieve the desired parking lot maintenance in a timely manner
• Experience with: asphalt maintenance products, grading, drainage, soils, concrete, asphalt, waterproofing
• Trade skills: excavation, fine grading, plumbing, electrical, concrete finishing
• Experience using Blue Beam and CAD is desired (training desired)
• Strong knowledge of concrete and asphalt materials
• Must possess strong negotiation skills and the ability to read and interpret construction and engineering drawings
• Must be a strong communicator; possess excellent telephone skills
• Proficient in Outlook, Excel, Word
