Base Pay Range: $/yr - $/yr

A Lathrop, California fuel oil system design expert is hiring a Project BIM Engineer to join a tight‑knit team designing and delivering mission‑critical fuel system solutions.
You’ll work on high‑impact infrastructure projects, collaborate directly with clients and internal engineering teams, and contribute to custom design‑build systems that keep essential services running. The right candidate is a proactive problem‑solver with strong BIM and MEP experience, confident technical skills, and the ability to manage multiple projects without losing precision or pace.
Salary Range: $100,000 - $120,000 base + discretionary bonuses twice per year
Responsibilities- Produce detailed design and permit drawing sets for fuel oil systems, including hazmat and fire code submittals
- Model BIM and coordinate system layouts using AutoCAD MEP, Navisworks, and Bluebeam
- Collaborate with clients and design teams, providing real‑time project updates and resolving technical challenges
- Manage and prioritize 8‑10 active projects while adapting to shifting client or engineering needs
- Participate in weekly virtual meetings and internal design reviews
- Communicate professionally with contractors, engineers, and stakeholders throughout all project phases
- Support field teams as issues arise and troubleshoot system integration problems
- 3‑5+ years engineering design experience
- Strong BIM modeling skills and experience with AutoCAD MEP, Navisworks, and Bluebeam
- Working knowledge of HVAC systems
- Ability to multitask, shift priorities quickly, and thrive in a fast‑moving environment
- Confidence in communicating directly with clients and design teams
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering preferred, but experience considered in place of degree
- A team‑first mindset and a proactive, no‑ego approach to problem‑solving
- Experience designing fuel systems or mission‑critical infrastructure is a plus
- Engineering certifications or interest in obtaining them is a plus
