Job Description

Line RON Aircraft Maintenance Technicians (AMT) work outdoors on ramps during overnight hours to inspect and repair planes. They check systems, fix issues, and ensure each aircraft is ready for its next flight. They work closely with Technical Operations and Airport Teams to keep the schedule flowing. Pay & Benefits

  • Pay of $34.73 per hour, plus an A&P Premium of $8.50/hr for A&P licenses. Potential future increases per applicable collective bargaining agreement wage scale. Opportunities for overtime and shift premiums.

  • This role is part of a Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA). Pay, schedules, and other job details are set through the labor agreement.
  • Work schedules are based on seniority and may include early mornings, late nights, weekends, and holidays. Mandatory overtime may occur to support flight operations, with opportunities to trade shifts.
  • U.S. citizenship or current authorization to work in the U.S. is required. No current or future work authorization sponsorship available.

Responsibilities
  • Work in a cooperative spirit to ensure the success of the Company
  • Perform maintenance work on aircraft, engines, electrical and hydraulic systems, and related equipment as outlined in maintenance procedures
  • Meet physical ability requirements listed in this description
  • May perform other duties as directed by leadership, with internal and external customers
Knowledge,

Skills and Abilities
  • Read and comprehend maintenance procedures manuals, wire diagrams, blueprints, Aircraft Change Orders, and related documents
  • Follow instructions, learn and comply with maintenance procedures, rules and regulations
  • Prepare accurate summaries of workmanship on required forms and sign to verify work
  • Proficient with computer-based training modules
  • Meet training requirements in a timely manner
  • Identify hazardous situations and respond to emergencies
  • Work well under deadlines in a fast-paced environment to meet flight schedules
  • Collaborate with others as part of a team and remain composed under stress
  • Communicate information in writing and verbally or via radio
  • Provide friendly service and maintain positive relationships with internal and external customers
Education
  • Required:

    High School Diploma or GED
Experience
  • Required:

    2 years of Aircraft Maintenance Experience, including 1 year of Heavy Jet Aircraft Maintenance (12,500 lbs or more)
  • Required:

    Must meet the recency of experience requirements of CFR 65.83
  • To satisfy recent work experience, actively worked with A&P license for at least 6 of the preceding 24 months
  • If as operations permit an AMT is awarded, may work under supervision of an AMT for six months and may require additional training
Licensing/Certification
  • Must possess a valid U.S. Driver's License
  • Valid Federal A&P Certificates as required by Federal Law
Physical Abilities
  • Must perform job functions in cramped and confined spaces and hazardous areas
  • Must be able to lift and move up to 50 pounds regularly
  • Must be able to climb, bend, kneel, crawl, and stoop frequently and for extended periods
Other Qualifications
  • Maintain a well-groomed appearance per Company standards
  • Be a U.S. citizen or have authorization to work in the United States
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Adhere to Company attendance standards
  • Possess the tools required to perform routine aircraft maintenance
  • Able to work rotating shifts, holidays, and overtime

Pay Rate: $34.73
