We are seeking a highly motivated and sales‑driven leader to serve as Assistant Fitness Manager (Personal Training Sales). In this role you will conduct welcome workouts with new members, guide them through their initial gym experience, and help them get started with a personal training program. Reporting to the Fitness Manager, you will play a crucial role in driving personal training sales and fostering member relationships.
Responsibilities- Ensure daily sales targets are met, especially during weekends or when the Fitness Manager is absent, by leading the team and driving sales initiatives.
- Promote personal training packages and build strong rapport with members.
- Consistently achieve or exceed sales targets for personal training services and small group training sessions.
- Collaborate with the membership sales team to support new member onboarding and ensure a smooth transition into the club experience.
- Conduct personalized welcome workouts for new members to evaluate their fitness needs and goals.
- Guide new members through their initial club experience, fostering a positive environment that promotes retention and engagement.
- Provide professional development for personal trainers through regular coaching sessions and ongoing support.
- Communicate goals, expectations, and procedures to staff, ensuring clarity of roles and responsibilities.
- Supervise facility cleanliness, including equipment, locker rooms, and common areas.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, maintain proper certifications, and implement safety protocols.
- 2‑3 years of customer service experience.
- 1 year of sales experience.
- 1 year of supervisory experience.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, for interacting with members, trainers, employees, and vendors.
- Excellent relationship‑building and influencing skills with people at all levels.
- Strong attention to detail, systematic problem‑solving, and good time‑management and organizational skills.
- Excellent MS Office skills.
- Prior experience or strong interest in the fitness industry is a plus.

- Availability to work nights and weekends.
- Successful completion of a background check.
- Valid Personal Training certification.
- CPR certification required within 30 days of hire.
- Physical ability to work in a gym setting, move around gym floors, communicate with staff, members, and the public.
- Ability to routinely bend and lift more than 40 lbs.
- Access and operation of the company computer system, including document preparation, data entry, and report reading.
Hourly position with potential annual earnings of $37,000—$74,000 USD.
