A large casino and hotel enterprise is seeking a Development Architect to lead the design and evolution of large-scale backend .NET systems supporting sports book and wagering technology. This role requires an architect who can guide engineering teams across high-availability platforms, ensure exceptional code quality, and drive architectural best practices in an Agile environment.

We highly prefer candidates with experience in sports betting technology or similar mobile application ecosystems involving real-time data, high-volume transactions, or regulated digital products.

• Define and evolve the technical architecture for backend systems powering sports book and wagering operations.
• Provide architectural leadership across .NET Core backend services, APIs, microservices, and event-driven components.
• Champion engineering excellence, including code quality, testing standards, design patterns, and best practices.
• Lead solution design discussions, technical planning, and architectural reviews.
• Work closely with development teams to ensure adherence to architecture, performance requirements, and security guidelines.
• Support modernization initiatives, transitioning legacy systems into scalable, cloud-ready microservices.
• Contribute to CI/CD, Dev Ops, and automation initiatives that improve development flow and production reliability.
• Collaborate with product leaders to align architecture with roadmap goals.
• Identify performance bottlenecks, evaluate new technologies, and drive continuous platform improvement.
• Mentor engineers and strengthen overall engineering culture.

• 8+ years of professional software engineering experience with 3+ years in an architecture or principal engineering role.
• Strong expertise in backend .NET development (.NET Core preferred).
• Experience designing or supporting large-scale, high-availability systems.
• Highly preferred:
  Experience with sports betting platforms or similar mobile applications involving real-time data, high-volume user traffic, or regulated digital systems.
• Deep understanding of microservices, distributed systems, APIs, messaging, and event-driven architecture.
• Hands-on experience in Agile development environments.
• Strong focus on code quality, patterns, testing strategies, and development standards.
• Experience with cloud technologies (Azure or AWS), containerization, CI/CD, and Dev Ops processes.
• Excellent communication and architectural documentation skills.
• Ability to work onsite Monday–Friday in Las Vegas.

• Experience with odds engines, wagering workflows, player account services, or regulatory compliance systems.
• Strong SQL/database design and performance tuning knowledge.
• Exposure to front-end or mobile architecture concepts for end-to-end solution awareness.
