• Part-Time/Temporary Position – This position is a part time/temporary position and DOES NOT include health or medical benefits. Hours for this position will not exceed 938 per calendar year.
• Pay Considerations – The hourly pay for this position is $14.00.
• Work Schedule – Work hours vary seasonally, averaging approximately 18 hours per week during the off-season and increasing to 40 or more hours per week during the summer season (May–September). You must be able to work varied shifts, including evenings, weekends, overtime, stand by and holidays. Hours will not exceed 935 per calendar year.
• Environment – The worker is subject to both environmental conditions:
  Activities occur inside and outside.

Under direct supervision, independently carries out programs both indoor and outdoor parks and recreation activities. Works directly with program participants in a physically active recreation program environment. Recreation program assignments are varied and may include early childhood, aquatics, golf course, sports (adult and youth), class instruction, seniors, mobile recreation, special events, Safekey (before and after school – elementary youth), and day camp.

• Minimum age of 16 years old.
• Any combination of education, training, volunteer or experience that provides the knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the essential functions the ability to assist with parks and recreation program services at an entry level.

• Must possess a valid Nevada state driver’s license/Identification Credential or have the ability to obtain, and maintain a satisfactory motor vehicle record.
• Must possess a Standard First Aid and CPR Certificate within two weeks of hire prior to performing the essential functions of position. NLS will provide training.
• Must possess a Clark County Health Card (Food Handler Card) within thirty (30) days of date of hire.
