Overview

The Platinum Hotel seeks an experienced Shift Engineer. This is a full-time position Friday-Tuesday from 3p-11p. Starting pay is $20 per hour. This position will help to ensure that all physical building assets and equipment remain in good repair with a minimum of down time. This is accomplished by performing day-to-day maintenance and preventative maintenance projects in the hotel. Specialized skills such as HVAC, boilers, plumbing, electrical is highly desired.

CPO Certification Required. We will provide training if necessary.

Responsibilities

Read and interpret documents to include:
Blueprints/Schematics, Procedure manuals, OSHA standards such as Lock Out/Tag Out, SDS, etc.

Troubleshoot, repair and/or maintain the following: physical building to include all FF&E; A/C and refrigeration equipment; electrical systems; plumbing and drains; pneumatic and electronic systems and controls; fire alarm and life safety equipment.

Represent the hotel and company in a courteous and professional manner at all times.

Safely use hand and power tools.

Qualifications

Possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills

Ability to work independently or as a member of a team

Analytical skills to assess and identify problems and implement solutions

Must be able to read and interpret documents as listed in Responsibilities

Must have the capability to safely use hand and power tools
