Description
Summary: Provide field-based support of customer installations and assist with troubleshoot/repair of smart thermostats and other energy monitoring systems that include: electrical, gas, and water. Conduct surveys and audits of electrical components at both residential and commercial locations.
Requirements Duties and Responsibilities Technical- Installation and reporting of PCT (Programmable Communicating Thermostat) and energy gateways in residential setting.
- residential HVAC systems by testing, troubleshoot repair, and diagnosis.
- Connection of physical hardware, low voltage wiring, and cable.
- Install telecommunications hardware to establish data uploads to Network Operating Centers (NOC)
- Perform residential surveys & audits.
- Quality audits on removed thermostats.
- HVAC troubleshooting skills.
- Assist with diagnose installation errors and hardware defects.
- Operate and maintain Mad Dash vehicle.
- Track and report inventory items used.
- Arrive at all scheduled dispatches in a timely manner.
- Follow all established processes and procedures.
- Maintain professional demeanor with clients and customers including contractors, maintenance staff, property managers, and tenants.
- Training for continuous improvement.
- Site Verification Forms, survey and audit documentation.
- Use of operational software to complete and submit documentation.
- Timesheets/expense reports/email.
- Proficient with technology: smart phones, iPad, tablets, laptops, cloud-based storage, email, and texting.
- Ability to ascend/descend ladders, scaffolds, stairs and work at heights.
- Recognizes exposure to live circuits and/or operating machinery.
- Familiarization with electrical and mechanical components and systems.
- Ability to lift/carry 50-75 lbs.
- Repetitive motion with both hands, wrists and fingers.
- Work in spaces such as attics or basements.
- Ability to adapt to changing work schedules and environments.
- Work conditions may be indoors and outdoors.
- Hours may include nights and/or weekends and a rotation of 24/7 on call shift.
- Operate and maintain Mad Dash vehicle
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in customer service facing related field required
- Minimum 1 year experience in HVAC/electrical/construction preferred
- Must have a valid Driver’s License and meet Mad Dash’s driving standards.
- High School Diploma/GED required
- HVAC/R certificate is required
- OSHA 10/30 Preferred
Non-Exempt, Hourly, Regular Full-Time
Pay Rate$18.00-$21.00 per hour DOE
