Responsibilities- Examine damaged vehicles and efficiently plan the repair process.
- Communicate with team members on vehicle repair status.
- Perform quality repairs while maintaining on‑time status.
- Make decisions on repair vs. replacement considering safety, cost, and cycle time.
- Remove upholstery, accessories, electrical and hydraulic window operating equipment, and trim to gain access to vehicle and fenders.
- Participate in all required safety meetings.
- File, grind, and sand repaired surfaces using power tools and hand tools.
- Direct the work of an apprentice in the performance of tasks when needed, explain procedures to the assistant.
- Ability to use a frame machine.
- Certification in body repair preferred.
- Knowledge of vehicle repair processes by manufacturer.
- I-CAR welding certification.
- Skill in analyzing and interpreting measuring data.
- Ability to supervise repair personnel.
- Must be able to pass a thorough background check.

This position is paid on a commission/flag‑rate structure. Flag pay is guaranteed to meet local minimum wage requirements for all hours worked each week. The compensation range listed is the average flag pay range for a typical full‑time employee in this position.
