** WHAT YOU’LL DO
** The Security Bike Officer is responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for employees, guests, and property within a designated area. They play a crucial role in preventing and responding to security threats, emergencies, and incidents. This role requires a strong sense of responsibility, excellent observation skills, and the ability to remain calm under pressure.
** ROLE EXPECTATIONS
** Responsibilities include, but are not limited, to the following:
* Conduct routine patrols of assigned areas via bicycle, ensuring a high-visibility security presence
* Respond rapidly to calls for service, alarms, disturbances, medical emergencies, or suspicious activity
* Observe and report safety hazards, maintenance issues, or security concerns
* Enforce organizational policies, procedures, and access control measures
* Interact with the public, staff, and visitors in a courteous and professional manner
* Provide safety escorts, assist with lost persons, and support crowd control as needed
* Accurately document incidents and daily activities in written or electronic reports
* Monitor and report suspicious behavior, criminal activity, or unauthorized access
* Ensure bicycle and safety gear are maintained in good working order
* Strong interpersonal skills and a friendly, solution-oriented approach
* Collaborate with other officers, law enforcement, or emergency responders as needed

** REQUIREMENTS
* ** Excellent customer service skills with a focus on professionalism and positive client interactions
* Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
* Prior experience in security, law enforcement, or public safety preferred
* Ability to ride a bicycle for extended periods and in various weather conditions
* Good physical condition, stamina, and balance
* Strong verbal communication and conflict-resolution skills
* Ability to remain alert, observant, and calm under pressure
* Must be able to sit for extended periods of time
** PREFERRED
* ** Previous experience working in a similar resort setting
** CERTIFICATIONS, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
*** Must be able to qualify for licenses and permits required by federal, state and local regulations.
* Security Bike Officer must have a valid driver license and provide a copy of their Motor Vehicle Records report going back 10 years.
* Security Bike Officers must pass both the Security Officer and Security Bike Officer Academies.
* Security Bike Officers may be tasked to perform inside Security Officers duties when requested by Security Management.
* Security Bike Officers will Re-Certify once every 12 months to ensure the highest level of physical fitness possible
