SummaryAs a Security Officer at Resorts World Las Vegas, you will take pride in serving as a brand ambassador while ensuring a safe and welcoming environment. In this dynamic role, you will patrol designated areas, maintain static posts, and respond to emergencies, medical incidents, disturbances, and service requests. You will play a key part in upholding the safety and security of our guests, team members, and vendors while delivering the exceptional customer service that defines our world-class resort experience.
PrimaryJob Duties
- Provide world-class service while maintaining awareness of safety and security concerns.
- Follow company brand standards when interacting with guests and team members.
- Act as a first responder during emergency situations, medical incidents, disturbances, or assistance requests.
- Maintain working knowledge of the facility, scheduled events, and property layout to assist guests and team members.
- Assist with currency drops and fills on the casino floor.
- Gather and document pertinent information related to security incidents involving guests, team members, or the facility.
- Prepare and present voluntary statements and detailed incident reports.
- Obtain and maintain all position-specific licensing.
- Use personal device/cellular phone for job related operational tasks, job duties, review of company documents, etc.
- Perform other job-related duties as requested.
- Ability to successfully complete a physical agility test, both pre-hire and biannually post-hire.
- Ability to exercise good judgment and perform under stressful conditions.
- Ability to successfully complete the internal Security Officer Training Academy.
- Ability to successfully complete repulse spray training.
- Ability to successfully complete baton training.
- Ability to successfully complete all recurring mandatory training, including legal updates, defensive tactics, handcuffing techniques, first aid, and CPR/AED certification.
- Ability to participate in evacuation procedures to assist guests and team members during emergencies.
- Ability to operate assigned security equipment.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and various computer programs.
- Effective communication skills in both written and spoken English.
- Polished, professional appearance and demeanor.
- Ability to obtain and maintain full knowledge and understanding of company and departmental policies, procedures, rules, and regulations.
- Ability to work varied shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Previous experience working in a large, luxury resort setting.
- 1-3 years of experience in a related field or equivalent.
- At least 21 years of age.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- 1 year of previous Security, Law Enforcement or Military experience.
- Proof of eligibility to work in the United States.
- Perform basic first aid, CPR or AED application.
- Ability to pass a 5-panel drug test.
- Ability to obtain the following:
- Alcohol Awareness Card
- Nevada Gaming Card
- Nevada Drivers' License
