Position Summary

Responsible for providing interim coverage of open sales territories, including all aspects of sales territory management—selling specialty Neurology product to Movement Disorder Specialists and Neurologists. Able to move within the U.S. as business needs dictate. Interim coverage typically spans 1–6 months, after which the individual may be assigned to another opening. Upon successful 12‑month performance, eligible to apply for a full‑time long‑term territory assignment.

Responsibilities
  • Effectively impacts existing and new customers by providing exceptional value and service, helping providers to identify and start appropriate patients on therapy.
  • Educates physicians and their staff on the value of the company’s products for patient care.
  • Utilizes knowledge, critical thinking, and dialogue skills to deliver meaningful customer experiences that result in satisfaction, equity, and loyalty.
  • Anticipates, identifies and appropriately addresses HCP objections, questions, and concerns.
  • Utilizes appropriate techniques to gain consistent access to customers.
  • Utilizes appropriate sales aids, clinical reprints, etc., according to training, tailoring resources to customer needs.
  • Builds strong relationships with HCP customers, including key opinion leaders (KOLs), within the territory.
  • Investigates customer concerns and communicates with appropriate staff to resolve issues promptly.
  • Analyzes sales potential and executes in the territory to achieve strong business results, working within budgets and policies.
  • Develops and adjusts quarterly business/action plans as needed.
  • Prepares and submits timely business transaction reports and accurate expense records.
  • Provides guidance on pricing and reimbursement; acts as liaison for reimbursement queries.
  • Collaborates with sales management, regional teammates, and cross‑functional teams.
  • Attends conferences, trainings, exhibits, meetings, and product launches as required.
  • Leads when appropriate, operating with a positive, collaborative attitude.
  • Maintains compliance with all regulations.
  • Participates in training new Sales Specialists and in cross‑functional projects.
  • Mentors junior Sales Specialists as needed.
  • Other duties as assigned.

  • Develop deep neuroscience and Acadia product knowledge, and awareness of local and regional market trends.

  • Earn a reputation as a subject‑matter expert and valued resource.
  • Be a disease‑state and product information expert.
Education and Experience

External Candidate Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree required, preferably with an emphasis in the life sciences.
