Job Overview

Territory Manager, Companion Animal – Las Vegas, NV (High Desert CA)

The Territory Manager role focuses on building relationships with veterinarians, providing Ceva’s product solutions, and driving sales growth across the local veterinary community.

Location & Compensation
  • Location:

    Las Vegas, NV / High Desert CA
  • Base Salary: $80,000 – $110,000
  • Commission: $0 – $70,000
  • Travel:
    Up to 8 hours per day by plane or car; overnight travel required; $8+ hours per day in vehicle
Responsibilities

Preparing and Executing the Sales Plan

  • Manage and prioritize activities to meet territory objectives based on account segmentation.
  • Conduct pre‑call planning, clinic‑by‑clinic, with clear objectives.
  • Schedule appointments, present products, close sales, and take orders.
  • Develop sales plans to achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual targets using market data.
  • Maintain territory route and segmentation to maximize selling time, building revenue with existing customers while prospecting new business.

Managing Sales Results and Outcomes

  • Contribute to team sales results through strategic product advocacy.

Impact and Influence

  • Create confidence in Ceva product range.
  • Influence healthcare teams to recommend and sell Ceva products.
  • Resolve customer complaints with effective solutions.
  • Attend and coordinate events such as VMAs, KOL dinners, conferences, and trade shows.

Developing and Preserving Relationships

  • Build long‑term strategic relationships with veterinarians and clinic decision makers.
  • Identify customer needs and provide solutions.
  • Increase dispensing through staff training, promotional activities, incentives, and contests.
  • Collaborate with Distribution Sales Representatives (DSRs) to enhance product knowledge and secure support.
  • Communicate effectively with Regional Manager, DSRs, Marketing, and other stakeholders.

Market Insight Generation

  • Collect and share competitive market information during customer visits.
  • Recommend product or policy changes based on market analysis.

Negotiating

  • Negotiate with key decision makers following Ceva’s commercial policy.
  • Collaborate with Regional Manager on large practice or group purchases.

Reporting

  • Complete administrative and sales reporting duties, including weekly expenses and territory reports.
  • Maintain call notes and track sales activity using the CRM tool.
  • Report market environment and customer details.
Qualifications

Education: Bachelor’s degree (equivalent experience may be considered).

  • 3–10 years proven track record in outside sales; at least proven success in a fast‑paced B2B sales environment.
  • Uses analytics and insights for decision‑making.
  • Follow‑through, attention to detail, and ability to manage expense budgets.
  • Highly focused, results‑oriented, and able to resolve issues early.
  • Must have an acceptable driving record.
  • Must be willing and able to spend 8+ hours per day in a vehicle.
Physical and Travel Requirements
  • Ability to read, speak, and understand English.
  • Travel via plane or car up to 8 hours per day; overnight travel required.
  • Comfortable working around animals; primary work location involves veterinary clinic visits.
